Jubilee Youth Center

Jubilee Youth in Washington DC, spring break, 2006

Jubilee Youth Center activities include weekly meetings of our two youth groups; Red Group, which is composed of 10-13 year-olds, and Blue Group, which is composed of 14-17 year-olds.  Randy Hildebrant, an Oklahoma native and a commissioned Church and Community Worker, is Jubilee Project's Youth Ministry Coordinator.

Jubilee Youth Center provides entertainment outings, outdoor adventuring education for leadership training, seasonal parties, mission trips, and faith development to its members.  Each summer, Jubilee Youth take a trip to North Carolina, where the youth work at the Salvation Army, and learn about the local ecology with the help of a marine biologist.   David Whitt, of D&K Studios, has partnered with us to offer free photography classes (sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission's Arts Build Communities Grant and East Tennessee Foundation), and we have also been able to offer guitar and music lessons.  We are a chapter of Trips for Kids, a national organization that exists to provide the opportunity for underprivileged youth to experience the benefits of mountain biking.  Visit our TFKJubilee page to find out more about this great program.

Recently, Jubilee Project began an apprenticeship program which matches youth with community and career role models, and includes job shadowing, career planning, college visits, and assistance in filling out scholarship and financial aid applications.   We have had three apprentice participants and their job-shadowing has gone very well.

Jubilee Youth also have the opportunity to work on their leadership skills, to participate in faith building activities, and to help those in need in our area by performing home repairs through Jubilee Project's Housing Development Program.

We are in need of your assistance to achieve our goals for the Jubilee Youth Center.  You can give to Randy Hildebrant's salary support through the National Advance #982961.  To support other expenses of the Youth program, give to Advance #781350-4, or you can check out "Our Needs" to make a material donation.  Direct monetary donations to Jubilee Project are always needed and welcomed.
