Directions to Jubilee Project

How to get to Sneedville Tennessee:

From Interstate 81 (Virginia, and from Kingsport, Bristol, Johnson City):

Take I-81 south to Morristown exit, Route 25E.   Take 25E to Bean Station, where you get on 11W north, toward Rogersville, Tennessee -- but don't go that far; about 2-3 miles from Bean Station (in Mooresburg), turn left onto Route. 31 toward Sneedville (this road is marked clearly with a sign, and is beside an Exxon Station).  Take Route 31 all the way to the edge of Sneedville, about 18 miles.  Turn left across the bridge at the Clinch River; you are now on Main Street (Route. 33).

From U.S. Route 23 (Duffield, Big Stone Gap, Gate City):

Take US Route 23 to County Road 600, 5 miles east of Duffield.  Take County Road 600 into Tennessee, arriving at the Kyles Ford bridge a few miles after the Tennessee boarder.  Turn left on Route 70, then right after about 100 yards onto route 33 west.  Take this road 12 miles into Sneedville; you are now on Main Street (Rte. 33).

From Knoxville and West:

Take the Rutledge Pike exit (Route 11W) off of I-40, and turn right at the bottom of the ramp to go northeast on 11W.  Take 11W through Rutledge and on to Bean Station.  Abpout 2-3 miles from Bean Station, turn left onto Route 31 toward Sneedville (this road is marked clearly with a sign, and is beside an Exxon Station).  Take Route 31 all the way to the edge of Sneedville, about 18 miles.  Turn left across the bridge at the Clinch River; you are now on Main Street (Route 33).

From Kentucky:

Take Route 25E through Middlesborough, KY and the Cumberland Gap Tunnel.  Continue on 25E through Tazewell, Tennessee.  At the second red light in Tazewell, turn left to stay on 25E.  A few miles beyond Tazewell, you will see a sign for Route 33 to Sneedville.  Turn left and take Route 33 to Sneedville, about 27 miles.  As you near the clinch River bridge in Sneedville, turn left away from the bridge.  You are now on Main Street (Route 33).
